This is a video of a talk I delivered at an “assisted living center.” This sketch board message was without a doubt a team effort. It started when OAC Board Member Rex Trent emailed me a story from his childhood that he thought I’d like, and boy was he right! His true story was a super illustration of the gospel of Jesus Christ. So I asked him if it was okay if I turned it into a sketch board message, and he agreed. So Shelby and I developed it and came up with how the drawings would work, but there was no way I’d have the skill to pull this off, so Shelby did all the artwork. And she did a very nice job if I do say so myself! 🙂
The best part was that God used Rex, Shelby, and myself to reach and encourage a group of people that God cares very much about – those who need a little extra help because of their age. I’ve often said that Open Air Campaigners go to where the people are because people matter to God, and it was a privilege to go to where these “senior saints” were.
I hope you enjoy “What Jesus Does – A Gospel Lesson from Man’s Best Friend.”
